Editorial and testing methodology

How we write about this inbox, what we will not invent, and how to ask for a correction.

Who writes

Articles are written by Dinitha Ransidu, the software engineer who built 10 Minute Temp Email. There is no separate newsroom and no guest-post marketplace.

How technical articles are researched

Implementation details are taken from the public website, the mail-ingest Worker, the shared sanitization helpers, and the documented architecture. If a behavior cannot be verified in that code, it is not published as a fact. Names of other products appear only when needed to contrast a design (for example, a normal mailbox versus a receive-only inbox).

How details are verified

  • Mailbox lifetime, receive-only behavior, and storage locations are checked against the running Workers and constants in source.
  • Sanitization claims are checked against the Worker cleaner and the browser DOMPurify config.
  • QA checklists come from using the inbox while testing signup mail—not from invented pass rates.

What we will not publish

  • Benchmarks, uptime percentages, or “tested with N providers” claims unless we actually ran and recorded those tests
  • Security guarantees we cannot demonstrate
  • Instructions for bypassing another site’s terms, payment rules, bans, or disposable-domain blocks
  • Fake team members, addresses, certifications, or awards

Review and updates

When the product changes in a way that makes an article wrong, the article is edited and anupdated date is shown. Publication dates are not moved just to look fresh. Related pages (Privacy, Cookies, Acceptable Use) are updated when the implementation of analytics, ads, or retention changes.

Corrections

If you find an error, email info@10mintempemail.com with the page URL and what should change. We will correct factual mistakes. We will not add claims we cannot verify.
